As per reports, an iron bridge over the Singla River on the Asimnagar–Anipur road in Sribhumi district, Assam, collapsed on Wednesday (11 February) at approximately 1130 hours, causing a complete halt to traffic in the area.

• According to local authorities, two people were seriously injured and taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment. Several vehicles, including two dumpers, cars, a motorcycle and an auto truck, were damaged in the incident.
• Officials and police teams reached the site and launched rescue operations, while traffic movement in the area is being regulated.
