As per reports, Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj has called for a protest to restrict traffic at the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border at Attibele on Monday (10 August).

• Kannada activists are expected to prevent vehicles from Tamil Nadu from entering Karnataka at the inter-State border from 1100 hours (local time). The protest is being held over demands related to the Cauvery water dispute and other Karnataka-related issues.
• As per the guidelines issued by the Dharmapuri Zone of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), all buses bound for Bengaluru are terminating their services at Hosur Bus Stand. The restriction has affected thousands of passengers travelling from various parts of Tamil Nadu to Bengaluru for business, medical and employment-related purposes. As buses are operating only up to Hosur, passengers are required to walk towards the Attibele border area and arrange alternative transportation, including autos or Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation buses, to continue their journey.
