As per reports, Bogotá is scheduled to hold demonstrations called by President Gustavo Petro on Friday (24 October).
• Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán emphasized that the rights of protesters will be respected, while also safeguarding the rights of citizens who choose not to participate.
• The mayor urged all demonstrators to engage peacefully, avoiding acts of violence, destruction, blockades, or vandalism, citing recent incidents over the past weeks.
• The demonstrations are planned for key areas, including the Plaza de Bolívar and surrounding sectors in the capital.
