As per reports, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) is to organise nationwide protests across India on Monday (17 August) to press the central government to resolve long-pending problems of labourers, including demands for higher pension, increased wage ceilings and benefits for scheme-based workers.

In Delhi, a major protest is reportedly planned at Jantar Mantar from 1000 hours (local time) onwards. Further details are currently awaited.
