According to reports, the Tanjung Perak Maritime Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned of potential tidal flooding in the coastal areas of East Java from Sunday to Saturday (04-10 October).
The maximum sea level is predicted to reach 130 cm to 150 cm. Following are additional details:
• Areas predicted to be affected by tidal flooding include the coast of West Surabaya, including Gresik, Lamongan, and Tuban.
• The maximum tide is predicted to occur around 1900 hours to 2300 hours (local time).
