According to reports, most areas in Indonesia have the potential to be impacted by heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning and strong winds on Saturday (10 February), with 15 of them having been declared on disaster alert status by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

• The 15 regions with alert status include West Sumatra, Jambi, South Sumatra, Lampung, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Banten, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Kalimantan East, North Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and Papua.
• Data from the BMKG also provides an early warning of the impact of moderate to heavy intensity rainfall which has the potential to impact the Maluku, NTT, Papua, West Papua, Bali, Aceh, West Java and Riau regions.
• BMKG also predicts that a number of cities such as Surabaya and Pangkal Pinang will experience thunderstorms during on Saturday (10 February). Meanwhile, moderate rainfall is forecast for Jambi, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Kendari, Palembang.
• Other cities, such as Denpasar, Serang, Palangka Raya, Samarinda, Ambon, Mataram, Kupang, Jayapura, Manokwari, Mamuju, Medan and Gorontalo, are predicted to have light rainfall.
• Most of the DKI Jakarta area has the potential for moderate-heavy rainfall in the morning and afternoon on Saturday (10 February).
