As per reports, battery-run autorickshaw drivers staged a protest in Dhaka’s Mirpur area on Sunday (19 May) by blocking several roads. The protest was held against the Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader’s order to ban the plying of these vehicles in Dhaka city.
Roadblocks were established at Mirpur-1, Mirpur-10 and Agargaon areas, resulting in the deployment of additional security personnel.
