Attempted armed robbery reported in Godda district on Monday (02 March)

As per reports, an armed gang attempted to rob a bank in the Mahagama area, in Godda district, Jharkhand, on Monday (02 March), targeting a branch of a nationalised bank. The incident occurred when multiple assailants entered the premises and opened fire, injuring a security guard in the leg before fleeing the scene.

Police and local law enforcement responded promptly, securing the area and launching a search operation to apprehend the suspects. No significant loss of cash was reported, and the theft attempt was declared unsuccessful.
