As per reports, an unidentified individual attempted to break open an ATM at Poonkunnam in Thrissur at around 0030 hours (local time) on Sunday (04 October). The individual reportedly entered the ATM and attempted to break the machine using a cutter, but fled after the alarm was triggered.
The alarm notification was received by the bank manager and police, who reached the location and inspected the ATM. No cash was reported missing from the machine. Fingerprint experts also examined the site, while police have initiated a detailed investigation.
