As per reports, the Maharashtra State Asha Group Promoter Employees Action Committee threatened to launch a statewide indefinite strike action starting from Friday (12 January) if the government fails to take an immediate decision with regard to increasing the remuneration of Asha volunteers by INR 7,000 and that of group promoters by INR 6,200.
