As per reports, civil society organizations, anti-racism groups, trade unions, community organizations, activists, and other advocacy groups have called for a large anti-racism demonstration in Paris on Sunday (21 June).
The gathering is scheduled to begin at 1400 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) in the Barbès area of northern Paris.
• Organizers have called for broad participation from civil society groups, youth organizations, academics, artists, trade union members, activists, and community organizations to protest racism, discrimination, hate speech, and the growing influence of far-right political movements.
• Organizers have indicated that the 21 June event is intended to expand the scale of previous mobilizations and is scheduled to take place ahead of Fête de la Musique celebrations later the same day.
• Participants are expected to assemble in the Barbès district before proceeding with a march through central Paris. Additional information about route of the march has not been published.
