As per reports, anti-abortion activists plan to participate in the annual ‘March for Life’ demonstration in downtown Washington, DC on Friday (19 January) to pressure lawmakers and Americans across the country remove restrictions on and/or outlaw abortion.

• Participants intend to gather on the National Mall starting at 1100 hours local time for a pre-rally concert. The rally will then be held on the National Mall in front of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History from 1200 hours to 1300 hours (local time).
• Demonstrators subsequently plan to march from 1300 hours local time through the National Mall and around the US Congress to the US Supreme Court.
• The march route will be as follows: from the rally at the National Mall to Constitution Avenue, Northwest Pennsylvania Avenue, down Third Street southwest near the Capitol Reflecting Pool, and then onto Independence Avenue passing the Capitol, and then by First Street Northeast to the Supreme Court.
• Street closures will be in place near the National Mall and intermittent roads from 1000 hours to 1600 hours (local time), and others will have Emergency No Parking signs from 0600 hours to 1600 hours (local time).
