As per reports, the control tower of the Brest Airport in Brittany, France, was reportedly struck by lightning, leading to a halt in all departing and arriving flights on Sunday (31 December).

State services in Finistère stated that flights scheduled for Monday (01 January) are also likely to be cancelled.
