As per reports, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) is organizing a sit-in protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh on Saturday (29 March). It has been reported that those who attend prayers on Friday (28 March) on the occasion of Jumma-ul-Wida should tie black bands on their arms and protest against the Central Government’s Waqf Amendment Bill.

Additionally, Muslim organizations in Andhra Pradesh have also appealed to community members across the state to refrain from attending government-sponsored Iftar events in various districts.
