As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) predicts that a cold front is set to bring colder air conditions sweeping across Southern Texas, Louisiana, and surrounding Gulf Coast areas on Sunday (05 January), which may lead to freezing temperatures persisting through Friday (10 January). Additional details are as follows:
• Low temperatures are expected to range from the mid-20s to low-30s in many areas including major cities such as Houston, San Antonio, Baton Rouge, and Mobile.
• A low chance of wintry precipitation, including sleet, freezing rain, or snow is expected around Wednesday (08 January) or Thursday (09 January), depending on the movement of a coastal system in the western Gulf of Mexico.
