As per reports, adverse weather events with heavy rainfall and strong coastal winds are expected across the Peninsula, Balearic Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla from Monday (11 November).
• In Ibiza and Formentera, heavy rainfall is expected to cause accumulations of up to 30 millimeters within one hour, posing a risk for localized flooding.
• Coastal regions, including the north and northeast of Mallorca, Minorca, and Empordà in Girona, will experience strong northerly winds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour (force 7) and waves reaching up to three meters.
• The heavy winds and rough seas are likely to peak in intensity during the Monday (11 November) afternoon, heightening the risk to maritime and coastal infrastructure.
• A cold air mass is expected to arrive at the Peninsula from northern Europe to the southwest in the next few days, thus reaching the Mediterranean coast and the Balearic Islands on Tuesday (12 November), when temperatures will begin to drop. On Wednesday (13 November) heavy rainfall is likely in that area.
• AEMET warns of the probability that the DANA Storm will end up being isolated in the area of the Mediterranean or the south of the peninsula from Wednesday (13 November), remaining in these areas until Saturday (16 November).
• Rainfall is also likely to in the Cantabrian Sea and the north of the Pyrenees , with snow in mountain areas on Tuesday (12 November).
• From Wednesday (13 November) onwards, precipitation is likely to spread across a large part of the Peninsula, in the form of snow in the mountain systems, although altitudes will gradually rise.
