As per reports, adverse weather conditions including rainfall, strong winds as well as high temperatures are expected in parts of Mozambique on Friday (31 January).

• In the provinces of Niassa, Cabo Delgado and Nampula, locally cloudy skies can be expected along with the occurrence of heavy rainfall, which could be accompanied by thunderstorms. Weak to moderate southwest to northwest winds have been forecast as well.
• For the provinces of Tete, Zambézia, Manica and Sofala continued occurrence of light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms can be expected.
• In the provinces of Inhambane, Gaza and Maputo, the National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) predicts hot weather and partly cloudy to clear skies. Light to moderate northeast to southeast winds can be expected blowing with local winds.
