As per reports, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory and has forecast dangerous surf conditions in parts of California through Wednesday (03 January) until Thursday (04 January).
• The forecast indicates that northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph expected. The wind advisory is in effect until 0100 hours local time on Friday (05 January).
• The wind advisory includes Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Santa Clarita Valley, Santa Barbara County, Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range, Ventura County Valleys, Malibu Coast, Los Angeles County Beaches, Palos Verdes Hills, Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, Calabasas and Agoura Hills, Western San Fernando Valley, Santa Susana Mountains, San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 Corridor, and Eastern San Gabriel Mountains.
• A high surf advisory remains in place from San Diego to San Francisco through Thursday (04 January) night. Waves are expected to increase upto 23 feet on Wednesday (03 January), with waves peaking in height on Thursday (04 January).
