As per reports, an additional police deployment was ordered in Moyale, Marsabit County, Kenya on Thursday (05 November).
• Following escalating violence and instability in neighbouring Ethiopia, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja chaired a strategic security meeting with regional commanders to mitigate spillover risks into Kenyan territory.
• Authorities have increased surveillance and border patrols to protect local residents and fleeing refugees, while relocating candidates from nearby schools following incidents involving stray bullets.
