As per reports, the Adamawa State Government has imposed a 24 hour curfew on Lamurde Local Government Area following a fresh outbreak of communal violence on Monday (08 December).
• The clashes, rooted in a long standing land dispute between the Bachama and Tsobo (Chobo) communities, reignited on Sunday (07 December) evening and rapidly escalated into deadly confrontations.
• The violence is the latest in a series of confrontations dating back to July, when disputes among youths expanded into widespread clashes that led to at least thirteen fatalities by August and displaced hundreds.
