According to reports, an accident occurred late Saturday night (04 May) after a car crashed into a security barrier along the outer perimeter of the White House complex. The incident took place at around 2230 hours near the intersection of 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest.

At around 2245 hours, D.C. police stated that they responded to the incident with the driver being pronounced dead. A Secret Service spokesperson has also stated that there is no threat to the White House and that there are limited traffic closures in the area as teams investigate.
