5.4 magnitude earthquake reported southwest of Gunungkidul, Indonesia on Tuesday (27 October)

As per the Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG), an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 was recorded on Tuesday (27 October) at 2143 hours (local time).

• The earthquake occurred at a latitude of 9.20 degrees South and a longitude of 110.39 degrees East, at a depth of 10 km.
• The epicentre was located approximately 136 km southwest of Gunungkidul, in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta), Indonesia.
• BMKG stated that the earthquake was not expected to generate a tsunami.
