According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency of Indonesia (BMKG), an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was reported on Friday (09 August) at 2340 hours WIB 51 km north east of Waingapu-NTT at a depth of 32 km. No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake.
