The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported a 5.0 magnitude earthquake approximately 23 kilometers southwest of Mamburao in Occidental Mindoro, at 0934 hours (local time) on Wednesday (30 September).
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
