The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.9 magnitude earthquake in West Papua, Indonesia, at approximately 0835 hours (local time) on Thursday (30 October).

The earthquake was reported at a shallow depth of 26 kilometres.
