As per the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a 4.7 magnitude earthquake was reported approximately 98 kilometres south of Encounter Bay, South Australia, at 0748 hours (local time) on Tuesday (27 October).
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, with its epicentre located at 36.459 degrees south and 138.532 degrees east.
