The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.7 magnitude earthquake approximately 37 kilometres northeast of Mbay, Nagekeo Regency, at 2117 hours (local time) on Sunday (02 August).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 11 kilometers.
