As per the United States Geological Survey Department, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake was reported near the Izu Islands, Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday (05 July) at around 0203 hours (local time).

The recorded depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometres. No casualty has been reported so far. Further details awaited.
