The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.6 magnitude earthquake, approximately 100 kilometres southwest of Sumur, Banten, at around 2051 hours (local time).

The earthquake was reported at a depth of 32 kilometres with no major seismic intensity observed in the areas around the epicentre.
