The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded a 4.5 magnitude earthquake 19 kilometres southeast of Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on Thursday (01 October). The earthquake occurred at 1442 hours (local time) at a depth of 10 kilometres.
Instrumental intensity II shaking was recorded in Batac City (Ilocos Norte) and Sinait (Ilocos Sur), while intensity I shaking was recorded in Bangued (Abra), Bacarra, and San Nicolas (Ilocos Norte).
