The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.4 magnitude earthquake approximately 115 kilometres southeast of Malang Regency, East Java, at 2029 hours (local time) Tuesday (28 July).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
