The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.4 magnitude earthquake, at a distance of 165 kilometres northwest of Melonguane Town in North Sulawesi Province on Friday (07 August).

The earthquake was reported at approximately 1543 hours (local time) at a depth of 10 kilometres.
