The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a magnitude 4.4 earthquake approximately 31 kilometres northeast of Gayo Lues Regency, Aceh, at around 1328 hours (local time) on Friday (22 May).
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres.
• The earthquake was felt at Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI) III in Gayo Lues and Sentang Blangkejeren, indicating light shaking that may have been felt indoors.
