The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported a 4.3 magnitude earthquake approximately four kilometers south-southeast of Uyugan, at 0525 hours (local time) on Thursday (13 August).

The earthquake was reported at a depth of 10 kilometers.
