The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a magnitude 4.3 earthquake approximately 46 kilometers northeast of Ruteng, East Nusa Tenggara, at 0724 hours (local time) on Thursday (20 August).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of two kilometers.
