The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported a magnitude 4.1 earthquake near the south coast of the Boso Peninsula, at approximately 0002 hours (local time) on Wednesday (01 July).

• The earthquake occurred at a depth of 60 kilometers.
• Intensity level 01 was reported in Higashiizu Town.
