The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) reported a 4.1 magnitude earthquake approximately 13 kilometers northwest of Sarmi, Papua at 0658 hours (local time) on Wednesday (15 July).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 53 kilometers.
