As per reports, the 2025 Taipei National Highway marathon will be held at the Zhongshan Expressway Wugu-Xizhi elevated section in Taipei on Sunday (09 March). The gathering point will be at the Tamsui River No. 6-Dunhuang Water Gate (intersection of Huanhe North Road and Dunhuang Road).

• The timing for the marathon will be from 0500 to 1200 (local time) on the designated routes.
• Following are the arrangements made to accommodate the event:
• A free shuttle bus has been arranged with a departure time from 0400 to 0550 hours (local time). The route will from next to the overpass of Section 01 of Zhonghua Road, near Fuxing Elementary School (No. 66, Section 01 of Zhonghua Road, Wanhua District, Taipei City), then from under the overpass at the back door of Dihua Sewage Treatment Plant.
• The bus will return at around 0800 to 1030 hours (local time), from under the overpass at the back door of Dihua Sewage Treatment Plant to Chengyuan High School Bus Station (near Minquan West Road MRT Station) to Fuxing Elementary School (intersection of Luoyang Street and Zhonghua Road Section 01).
• Parking arrangements have been made at the Qicong School underground parking lot and Dihua Sewage Treatment Plant parking lot. Participants have been instructed to walk on foot from the parking lot to the venue, and turn right onto Jiuquan Street, then turn right onto Huanhe North Road, then tne overpass about 650 meters, and get off the overpass to arrive at the Watergate venue.
• Additionally, the Taipei City Government Police Department Traffic Police Brigade has instructed traffic measures owing to the number of participants of around 12000. The measures are:
• Control time will be from 0200 to 1200 hours (local time) and closed ramps will be at Taishan Interchange (northbound), Wugu Elevated Ramp (northbound), and Jiuzong Ramp (northbound).
• Route diversion: The road from the Taishan interchange of National Highway 01 Xiwu Elevated Road (northbound) to the Xizhi end will be closed, and commuters should take the National Highway 1 (northbound) surface road instead. Meanwhile, the opening hours from Yuanshan to the north shoulder of National Highway 01 in Neihu will be adjusted from 0700 to 2000 hours (local time).
• From 0500 to 1200 hours (local time), mobile control will be implemented on Section 02 of Huanhe North Road heading south in front of the “Tamsui River Evacuation Gate No. 6”, and drivers are advised to slow down.
• Authorities also urged commuters to use alternate routes or public transportation during the marathon durations and to follow instructions to maintain safety and order.
