As per reports, the Chennai Railway Division announced that 12 suburban electric trains will be cancelled on Friday (10 October) due to maintenance work and passenger trains will be operated in their place.

• Electric trains from Chennai Beach from Chengalpattu at 0931 hours (local time), 0951 hours, 1056 hours, 1140 hours and 1255 hours and the train to Tirumalpur at 0727 hours will be cancelled.
• Similarly, in the opposite direction, a total of 12 trains will be cancelled, including trains from Tirumalpur at 1105 hours and from Chengalpattu at 1130 hours, 1200 hours, 1310 hours, 1345 hours and 1420 hours going to the coast.
• Special trains will be operated for the convenience of passengers. Special passenger trains will be operated from the coast to Chengalpattu at 0727 hours, to Sinhaperumal Temple at 0931 hours, 1056 hours, 1225 hours, and to Kattankulathur at 0951 hours, 1140 hours.
• In the opposite direction, special trains will run from Chengalpattu at 0945 hours, from Singaperumal Temple at 1143 hours 1323 hours, 1433 hours, and from Kattankulathur at 1220 hours and 1404 hours to the coast.
