The Event
Anak Krakatau erupted at 23:07 local time, putting ash 6 km east over Jakarta and a plume 15 km west over Lampung. Eight airports closed, including Soekarno-Hatta. An eruption 150 km away left the group with guests who could not leave, arrivals who never came, and staff who could not reach work.
What the Client Was Facing
- Involuntary extended stays at high occupancy. A rooms position neither the revenue system nor the continuity plan models.
