As per the Fiji Seismology, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake was reported in Fiji at 1744 hours (local time) on Sunday (01 March). The earthquake was located at 146 kilometers southwest of Doi Village, Ono i Lau, with a depth of 588 kilometers.

Authorities further stated that the earthquake does not pose any immediate tsunami threat to the region, and no reports of damages have been reported, as of yet.
