Long term closure on I-94 In Milwaukee scheduled from 09 March

As per reports, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has announced a long-term lane and ramp closure as part of the Early East Leg of the I-94 East-West Freeway expansion project in Milwaukee County, from 09 March.

From the evening hours on 09 March, one lane of I-94 eastbound is scheduled to be closed between 35th Street and 25th Street. It is to remain in place through late 2026. Exact date of reopening has not been announced yet.

• Additionally, the the 35th Street entrance ramp to I-94 eastbound is to be closed for the same duration.
• Commuters are to be rerouted via 35th Street, Wisconsin Avenue, 27th Street, Clybourn Street, and 25th Street.
• By late March, eastbound I-94 is expected be restored to three lanes west of the stadium, and the General Mitchell Boulevard ramps is also scheduled to be reopened.
• Further closures are scheduled. However, details of closure are not available yet.
