As per reports, the Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation has ordered the temporary suspension of air operations at Fernando Belaunde Terry Airport in Jaén for a period of 30 days from Saturday (21 February) until approximately 23 March.
• The affected facility is Fernando Belaunde Terry Airport located in the province of Jaén, Cajamarca region, Peru.
• The suspension follows Ministerial Resolution No. 071 2026 MTC 01.02, which declared the air transport service at the Jaén terminal in emergency status.
• The measure has been implemented due to water filtration and leakage issues affecting the airfield infrastructure, requiring corrective maintenance interventions.
• The works include corrective maintenance of the runway, taxiway, and aircraft apron, along with cleaning of surface drainage systems.
