The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) has issued a weather warning for moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by lightning and strong winds, for parts of the Papua region, valid from 0725 hours to 0900 hours (local time) on Friday (20 February).

• Locations likely to be impacted by moderate to heavy rainfall include Padaido, Aimando Padaido, and Oridek in Biak Numfor Regency.
• The warning may extend to the areas of Biak City, East Biak, and Samofa in Biak Numfor Regency.
