As per reports, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority has issued a dust storm and adverse weather warning affecting Cairo and several other regions on Wednesday (18 February).
• Forecasts indicate active winds that may raise sand and dust across Greater Cairo, the Canal cities including Suez, Ismailia, Port Said, parts of Lower Egypt, the western coastal areas, the south of the country and the Red Sea Governorate at intermittent intervals.
• There is also a chance of rainfall in northern coastal areas and the northern part of Lower Egypt, with a probability of around 30 percent, while lighter rainfall may affect parts of Halayeb and Shalateen.
• Sea conditions are expected to be rough in the Mediterranean Sea, with wave heights of approximately two point five to four metres, and moderate to rough in the Red Sea, with waves reaching around two to three metres.
• Night-time temperatures are expected to be very cold in several areas, with Cairo forecast to record a low of around 12 degrees Celsius.
