As per reports, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced the scheduled closure of a section of the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway (A8) for a period of 43 days, effective from 0000 hours local time on Thursday (20 February) (2100 hours UTC, 19 February) until 2359 hours local time on 04 April (2059 hours UTC).
• The affected stretch is located along the Nairobi–Rironi corridor, forming part of the critical Nairobi–Nakuru Highway linking Nairobi and Nakuru.
• The temporary closure is scheduled to facilitate road construction and maintenance works aimed at improving infrastructure capacity and safety.
