As per reports, a religious procession known as Kudroli Tirthatane (procession) is scheduled to take place on Saturday (21 February) in Mangaluru to commemorate the historic visit of social reformer Narayana Guru in 1912.
The event will include rituals and a seven km procession culminating at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple.
• The procession is expected to commence near Mangaluru Central railway station, with participants joining the main procession at Nehru Maidan at approximately 0900 hours (local time).
• The route will pass through key city locations including Clock Tower, PVS Circle, and Narayana Guru Circle before concluding at the temple premises.
• Organisers expect participation of more than 10,000 devotees from across the state. Rituals, including Bilva Patra Samarpana (offering), are scheduled from 0730 hours (local time).
• Local authorities have indicated that arrangements will be made to manage traffic and parking.
