As per reports, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Peru issued an alert on Monday (09 February), regarding the possible commission of crimes against public health due to an alleged shortage of medicines and medical supplies at Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital, located in Lima.
• The warning was issued by the Public Ministry of Peru (Fiscalía) following preliminary inspections that identified risks associated with insufficient availability of essential pharmaceuticals and inputs.
• The situation was reported as under review as of 1100 hours local time (1600 hours UTC) on Monday (09 February).
