As per reports, Taiwanese road authorities have announced a temporary traffic control and closure on sections of the Hehuanshan Highway (Provincial Highway 14A) from 1700 hours (local time) on Monday (02 February) after snowfall was recorded at elevations above 3,000 metres, resulting in road icing and slippery surface conditions in the Hehuanshan and Wuling areas.

• The affected stretch between Cuifeng and Dayuling (approximately the 41.5 km mark) has been placed under exit-only control, with vehicles not permitted to enter the restricted section. A two-way closure is also in effect at the Songxuelou section, which is prone to icing following snowfall.
• Authorities stated that road conditions will be reassessed at 0800 hours on Tuesday (03 February) to determine reopening, continued closure, or restricted access requiring snow chains. In addition, a temporary controlled service has been activated on Provincial Highway 8 (Central Cross-Island Highway) from 1730 hours (local time) on Monday (02 February), limited to agricultural transport vehicles travelling from the Dalishan area towards Guguan.
