As per reports, the Cyclocross World Championships are scheduled to take place over the upcoming weekend in Hulst, Netherlands, with authorities anticipating a high volume of visitors traveling to the event from Saturday (31 January).
• Traffic measures have been announced by the municipal authorities of Sint Gillis Waas in Belgium due to expected cross border traffic towards Hulst in the Netherlands.
• The championship weekend is scheduled to take place on Saturday (31 January) and Sunday (01 February).
• Authorities expect significant traffic movement towards Hulst, primarily via exit Tromp and Kapellebrug, where ongoing roadworks are temporarily suspended during the weekend.
• As the center of Hulst is largely car free, visitors may park vehicles in and around De Klinge and continue travel on foot or by bicycle.
• The district of De Klinge serves as an access route for shuttle buses transporting visitors between designated parking areas and the event location.
• To ensure smooth shuttle bus operations, temporary one way traffic for motorized vehicles is implemented on Bergstraat, from Buitenstraat and Heidestraat towards the roundabout.
• Traffic approaching from the Hogenakkerstraat roundabout is diverted via Hogenakkerstraat and Heidestraat during the traffic management period.
• A temporary parking ban is enforced on both sides of Buitenstraat on Saturday (31 January), and Sunday (01 February) from 0700 hours local time (0600 hours UTC) to 2330 hours local time (2230 hours UTC).
